The wings were sooooo good!!! I've been trying to find places like this, and I finally was able to find it. The staff was very nice and professional, she even knew her customers by name!

The tastiest place ever. Food is great and price is reasonable. They keep this place clean. There's this boy who sweeps on the weekends and gives good service every time. You should give this place a try. 10/10

Some of the best chicken wings in Houston! Definitely a place to try if you haven't. However, I wouldn't plan to sit and eat. The restaurant is a little run down so you definitely want to take your food to go.

This is a childhood favorite!!! The best wings in Houston!! (Let's argue...) only bad thing is they don't fry whole pieces lol... that's when you go to Frenchys in 3rd ward only!

I work just down the street, and I have been to shrimp island maybe one time before. I was craving some chicken wings, and some Yelpers had left a few reviews for this place. I called in and placed an order for "wings and rice", and they got my name and told me "10 minutes." It took me under 10 minutes to get there, so I waited in one of the two tables inside for the food. The inside isn't much to look at, and if they have AC, it doesn't work very well, so I would suggest to take your food to go. When I got back to work, I dived into my still-steaming hot food. The 5 wings were large and cooked to perfection. The skin was crispy and the flavor of the wings were great. The only place that I have had better wings at is Chirps on 19th street in the Heights, but they closed recently. The fried rice wasn't anything too special, but that is okay with me. The wings is what I came for, and they exceeded expectations. There are a few other spots on Antoine to get wings from (Thang's Cajun, Timmy Chan), but I think Shrimp Island is way better than them. They have a sign advertising buffalo wings inside. I might try those next time.
